- The Wayside, home of Nathaniel Hawthorne is built in America.
- Ruthven Barracks near Ruthven, Highland in Scotland are the smallest but best preserved of the four barracks built in 1717.
- On the lower slopes of Mount Fuji (Japan), was built the Sanmon gate of Taiseki-ji temple with donations from Tenneiin, the wife of sixth Shogun Tokugawa Ienobu.
