Communist Party of Nepal (United) is a political party in Nepal. It was founded in 2007, following a split in the Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist). The party was originally formed by bishnu bhadur manadhar after splitting from first communist party led by pushpa lal. He strongly opposed the unlaw and undiscipline showed by the cadres of nepal communist party. in the maoist led government ganesh sah was nominated minister of science, technology and environment. He performed his best as he was from same field. Ganesh Shah is the general secretary of the party and Chandra Dev Joshi, is the party chairman.[1]
In 2008 Nepal's first openly homosexual representative, Sunil Babu Pant was elected to the Constituent Assembly as a member of the the CPN (United)[2]
