Liga II is the name of the second level division of the Romanian football league system.

Liga II has two parallel regional (West - East) divisions, each with 18 teams. The top two teams from each division get promoted to Liga I. The bottom four from each division are relegated to Liga III.

Starting with the 2014/2015 season, Liga II will have only one division of 20-22 teams.[1]
