Marcelo José Pletsch (born May 13, 1976 in Toledo, Paraná Brazil) is a Brazilian footballer that is part of AC Omonia team.He is a defender.Pletsch has a German citizenship due to the fact that he played football there for 7 years with Gladbach and 1. FC Kaiserslautern where he formed a central defensive partnership duo with again teammate Timo Wenzel. In 2006 he signed for Panionios.He was a huge hit there leading the team in the UEFA Cup group stage and in a respectable position in the Greek League.In the 2007-2008 season his form deteriorated but he was still a starting regular. In January 2008 he was signed by AC Omonia. His contract was terminated in March 2009.
