[edit] Birmingham City

Till came through the Birmingham City Academy set-up when he joined the club as a schoolboy and earned a two-year professional contract in the summer of 2005. He was included in the matchday squad on a few occasions during 2004/05 as the '17th man' for Brimingham City. He was loaned to Scunthorpe United in October 2005, the last team his Blues played against before his temporary departure. In January 2006, he went out on loan again, this time to Boston United. He then went on loan to Leyton Orient on October 6, 2006. He made his debut in a 0-0 draw against Chesterfield on October 8, 2006. Peter Till completed his first league game for Leyton Orient as they lost to Scunthorpe. They went on to lose 3-1 but Till turned in an admirable display against Scunthorope.

[edit] Grimsby Town

He returned back to Birmingham in early November 2006 before moving to Grimsby Town along with Anthony Pulis and Martin Paterson on a months loan. He became the first signing for returning Grimsby boss Alan Buckley. Till made his first appearance against Accrington Stanley on 25 November. On 5 January 2007 Birmingham manager Steve Bruce cashed in on the young midfielder as he signed permanently for Grimsby. Till became an integral part of Buckley's side and in 2007-2008, Till was a apart of the clubs decent run in the Football League Trophy which saw Grimsby meet MK Dons in the final. However The Mariners were beaten 2-0 in the game at Wembley Stadium. In August 2008, Till scored in the local derby against League Two rivals Lincoln City at Sincil Bank in a 1-1 draw. Till joined Chesterfield on a one month loan on January 15, however this deal was extended until the end of the 2008-2009 season. On April 30, Till was told along with Grimsby left back Tom Newey that his contract would not be renewed in the summer, leaving him free to find a new club.
