Phil Garthwaite (born October 6, 1972) is a Democratic Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 49th Assembly District since he was elected in 2006. He is a member of the Committees on Agriculture, Transportation, Rural Affairs, and Rural Economic Development and the Council on Highway Safety.
Garthwaite attended UW-River Falls. He is a graduate of Continental Auctioneers University in Mankato, MN and Madison Media Institute. He is a former radio director and on-air personality. He is also a farmer manager and member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting and the National Dairy Shrine.
