Tsakane Valentine Maswanganyi is a member of the world-famous opera band Amici Forever from Johannesburg, South Africa. She is a soprano. She gives much of the credit for her success to her mother, a teacher who supported her all the way.

Tsakane grew up in a township in Soweto,South Africa. She studied music at Pretoria University and continued her operatic training at the Pretoria Technikon (University of Pretoria).She appeared in high-profile recitals, including performing for Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki. She sang the role of Maria in a performance of West Side Story for Spier Opera Company in Cape Town. Other operatic roles of hers include the title role in Grafin Mariza, Manja, Musetta (La Boheme), Valencienne (Merry Widow), Amelia (Amelia Al Ballo), Arminda (La Finta Giardinera) and Contessa Ceprano (Rigoletto).
