Welcome to the Wikipedia Cleanup project. This project is intended as a resource for Wikipedia Cleanup information and discussion. Cleanup issues that this project covers may include wikification, spelling, grammar, tone, and sourcing.
Lists of pages requiring cleanup are automatically generated from the {{cleanup}} banners placed on articles. See Category:All pages needing cleanup and Category:Cleanup by month. Older articles with issues that have not been dealt with in some time may be found at Wikipedia:BACKLOG.
All users are welcome to help in editing or fixing any page on these lists. Please remember to take the appropriate tag(s) off the page when you have completed cleaning an article. Please also document what you have done on the article's talk page for the reference of other editors.
Information on the cleanup process may be found at Wikipedia:Cleanup process. Other resources may be found at Wikipedia: Cleanup resources and Wikipedia:Template messages/Cleanup, for help on posting problems with wikipedia pages, or for you to use as a guide.
As of 08:32, 28 May 2008 (UTC), 32,036 articles were tagged for cleanup, or 1.34% of the English Wikipedia's 2,390,485 articles.

Due to the massive backlog of listings that have ballooned the Wikipedia:Cleanup lists to include thousands of articles, Wikipedia:Cleanup needs your help!
Feel free to add your name to the list of volunteers who are actively involved in this project! Adding your name will allow other editors to know that you are actively involved in this project as well as allow for better co-ordination between cleanup editors.
[edit] The Wikipedia Cleanup Legacy List
The manually maintained lists on this page (below) have to an extent been superseded by category lists that are automatically generated from the {{cleanup}} banners placed on articles. See Category:All pages needing cleanup and Category:Cleanup by month.
You may add cleanup requests here as well if you wish (though it is not necessary); see Wikipedia:Cleanup process for further information. Please only add articles to this list that are unlikely to be fixed without the help of Wikipedia cleanup volunteers. Editors are STRONGLY encouraged to try and perform clean-up themselves before posting articles to this list. Help in cleaning articles on this list is also greatly appreciated.
Please keep in mind that the lists here constitute only a small fraction of the Wikipedia articles tagged as needing cleanup, and they may not always be maintained as new articles are tagged or old articles are fixed. The list is still active through a number of editors who do still regularly try to attend to this list. Assistance and participation of other editors is welcome.
You may report confusing/messy articles below and explain why they need to be cleaned-up (grammar, spelling, formatting, order, copyright issues, confusion, etc.). Be sure to cross post your entry on the article's own discussion page for the references of other editors who may not visit this page. Please do not add articles below simply because they are POV or are lacking sources. Make sure to sign your additions with the following format: --~~~~.

[edit] January, 2009
- Thai_lunar_calendar - I've done a lot of work on this long time listed article. Needs a look-over by another editor, preferably one who has some knowledge of how to format articles that use foreign languages heavily. Also needs to be checked for clarity.--Lendorien (talk) 16:58, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- SEIKIMA-II - Needs some significant cleanup. Lacks section headings, needs to eb wikified. See talk page for more details.—Lendorien (talk) 15:19, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- The Krypton Factor — May require page splits, more citations, more information, rewording and perhaps expert attention. --Marianian (talk) 10:24, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- National Autistic Society — Very neglected and still not neutral. Although "List of NAS facilities" is what I have worked on I am sure a heavy rewrite and expert attention is required. --Marianian (talk) 10:24, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] December, 2008
- International Year of Astronomy - I have removed the copyvio from the article, but the subsections of #Cornerstone projects still reads like a press release. One example: "Universe Awareness illustrates the multicultural origins of modern astronomy in an effort to broaden children's minds, awaken their curiosity in science and stimulate global citizenship and tolerance." Aecis·(away) talk 23:53, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Bangladesh M.H.M High School & College, Doha-Qatar needs significant sourcing work. I've done my best with the massive copyediting and other issues that were within my time and abilities, but I don't know enough about the subject area to deal with sourcing the article, since it refers to an expatriate school in a third country, there are a lot of things I just don't understand. The sources provided don't seem to match the article enough, and I can't find independant information, just what is on the school's website. Jo7hs2 (talk) 21:56, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- ADInstruments requires some basic cleanup. Some wording still like advertising. More online references could also be added.—Keepsmilyn (talk) 20:28, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Czesław Kiszczak and Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland need some reformating (possibly with reference to the Polish). Jackiespeel (talk) 17:26, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thinking of You (Katy Perry Song) - Yuck. Tried to clean this article up but did not even know what the editor was trying to say. References are all over the place, no wiki mark-up and it looks like it has been written by someone who has English as their second language. Obviously the article will get more editors when the song becomes more prominent but for now it looks like a mess, hence the cleanup tag I have placed on the article.
- Also - the disambig used is wrong, as "song" should not have a capital letter. "Thinking of You" without the capital letter for the word song simply redirects to the One of the Boys album page, so when I tried to move the page it would not work. Help here would be appreciated. Thankyou. Gibbsyspin 03:48, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- R&R Partners - lots of self promotion, reads like an ad for the company. (Kdr81 (talk) 20:06, 8 December 2008 (UTC))
- Jan Mazoch - This article really sucks. Its not a wiki-article, wrong spelled and i think its better with more information about his career instead of the crash. The Rolling Camel (talk) 10:19, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- I worked on this article some tonight. Straightened out some of the language issues, added sections for his earlier career. In August 2008 he decided to end his career. Added that. I think it's in better shape. I'll keep working on it. Doctorfun (talk) 07:57, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
[edit] November, 2008
- Boot Camp (film) - Disorganized; needs re-written entirely. Doesn't look like an article.
- Gadsby: Champion of Youth - Some editors have apparently decided to write this article without using the letter 'e'. No I'm not kidding!! I'm currently engaged in an edit war over whether the {{cleanup}} tag should be applied, so I'm posting this here instead. Blue-Haired Lawyer 18:46, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- The above statement has nothing to do with cleanup requirement it is simply that the above editor does not accept the majority (near consensus) decision to write the article as a lipogram. Nevertheless, please give your views on the subject on talk page but please read the earlier extensive discussion of the subject first. This is essentially an RFC. Martin Hogbin (talk) 22:56, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- No. 419 squadron RCAF - Needs cleanup, doesn't look like an article at all. Pevernagie (talk) 10:40, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

- Nautical tourism - Has been tagged for cleanup for 2 years. A stub with practically no edits but the creators, this desperately needs attention, expansion, sources, orphan fixing, etc.—Lendorien (talk) 16:23, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Anyone wanting to help can go to Our Gang filmography - every article on an Our Gang short made from 1929 to 1944 needs to be reviewed and likely cleaned up or rewritten.—FuriousFreddy (talk) 23:17, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

- Auditory masking is a quite informative article; however, there's lots of unnecessary text scattered throughout the article. e.g. "(Gelfand 2004)." is repeated many times for no reason, and "{{{author}}}, {{{title}}}, [[{{{publisher}}}]], [[{{{date}}}]]" appears in another place. 4.242.147.244 (talk) 19:29, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

- Upon review of the article, it is suggested that an authority on the subject replace the list of unneeded "Definitions of terms" and replace it with a history of the use of servers.
- Just did some massive cleanup of the definitions, passing on for further review LaVieEntiere (talk) 06:47, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- Vasileios Spanoulis Page has been hijacked many many times by Spanoulis' fans and i couldn't keep up with all the edits. It has turned into some kind of fanpage.Plus it contains many useless information and details.Page is also very long Lacks NPOV too. - List of disaster films Contains many films which fall outside of this category. - World War III (section) - The premise of the section Difficulty in determining a "World War" is relevant to the page, but the arguments are confused, and it drifts off the point. Deciding what is meant by "World War" is a pre-requisite to determining what (if any) events will be labelled as "World War III". - Institute of Civil Defence and Disaster Studies - Created by a representative of the organization. (Will hopefully receive response from the organization that the text is indeed under GFDL, so please don't delete the article as a copyright violation, for now.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Wilkes University I need some major help to cleanup this article. It was progressing well until someone who might be from the university decided to rewrite most of it. It is disorganized and very non-WP:NPOV. If a small contingent of cleanup editors would go to work on it, along with me, it should not take very long. I have done some work on it, but as I am connected to the university in a student capacity, I may not be able to stay neutral on all topics, as is inherent to human nature. Thank you for your speedy help. If you would please let me know on my talk page. Plm209(talk • contribs) 13:51, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hasan Metin, the bulk of the info even when you specify English only are in Turkish so I can make no judge of notability or source. Travellingcari (talk) 15:39, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Fairly OddBaby needs some work. It is full of bad grammar and written in a bad style. - J-Whitt (talk) 23:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

- Paul Tillich - maximally baffling heavy theology that may be OR. Needs stiff editing to make this accessible to the lay reader. 86.145.94.229 (talk) 04:47, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Transcendental argument for the non-existence of God "Criticisms" section reads like a colloquial forum.
- Equivalence principle has a section "The equivalence principle and the nature of mass" that needs to be looked at by an expert. There are no citations, the English is poor, and it's lacking in any technical information needed to explain and justify the theory that it's talking about. I'd do it myself, but I've never heard of this theory before and so have no idea where to begin. Dbutler1986 (talk) 10:08, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- SGML—This article mainly describes highly specialized aspects of its associated subject. I'm contributing with the article but I would like some help. Rjgodoy (talk) 19:09, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

- Aang Article has serious MoS problems that have to do with writing about fiction. In addition, recent changes have cluttered the article. Parent5446(Murder me for my actions) 02:16, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Normal number - "Agafonov showed an early connection between finite-state machines and normal sequences: every subsequence selected from a normal sequence by a regular language is also normal. In other words, if one runs a finite-state machine on a normal sequence, where the finite-state machine outputs the digit it just read whenever it enters an accepting state, then the sequence it outputs will be normal." See the talk page for why I believe the statement is false as it stands; could somebody check the reference given ("Agafonov 1968") for what it actually says? - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:21, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Template:European Union Treaty Scenario is broken (at least in Mozilla Firefox); it places the images beyond the right edge of the screen (and as a result you have to scroll the article to the right to see them). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 20:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] December 2007
- Statistical survey - This page is written like class notes.
- Mary Anderson (stage actress) - A large part of this article is taken word for word from a single source. Although the source is cited, this section should be summarized instead, especially since it is not set off in quotes and is in first person. CClio333 04:33, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- The Second Sex - The verbosity of this article, particularly the section Content of The Second Sex, makes it very confusing. It appears to be an essay or thesis but is so under-referenced that one cannot tell where the information and commentary is coming from. As a general reader I lack the knowledge base to sort out opinion from quotation from original research.Trilobitealive (talk) 01:41, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

- Royal Military College of Canada needs cleanup. It used to be a good one but like any University or school article, every student adds it own little piece. It is now hard to read and confusing (i.e. languages, traditions, alumni) and there are a lot of irrelevant chapters (i.e. diversity, collectibles, ethics). Please Help!
- Magnetosphere particle motion - Article has a discursive conversational physics textbook style, not an encyclopedia article style. It also lacks a proper time and place in order to intro to lead intot he article in a way a layman can understand.—Lendorien 19:25, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Businesses and organizations in Second Life - The page seems to have become a target for Second Life-related organizations to promote themselves. I have declined to speedily delete the page, as I believe it is salvageable; but it needs a severe pruning. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 10:44, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] October 2007
- Over a long period of time User:Sadi Carnot created bogus articles containing original research and many links to the editor's personal website and self-published work on pseudoscientific psychology theories. Starting with pages such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Human chemistry, the bogus editing is in the process of being fully discovered and removed from Wikipedia. "Sadi Carnot" also had a puppet account: User:Wavesmikey. Editors with expertise in psychology are needed to review edits made by "Sadi Carnot" to many psychology-related articles.
- Austin Creed needs more information, the picture needs help being properly licensed, article needs to be wikified. (I created the article, and included whatever information I knew about Austin Creed) Tyler Warren (talk/contribs) 23:41, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

- 453d Electronic Warfare Squadron, Volleyball in Canada, Axial coding, Abracadabra, Kilrathi War, Michael Patterson (producer), Erich Rhoemer, Cinta Remaja, Valen tv: All have been tagged with cleanup tags for months now, with little or no progress made towards actually improving the articles.—69.118.235.97 12:23, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

- Bio-mechanical model for brow ridge formation and Spatial model for brow ridge formation - articles read like summaries of some research papers; should probably be merged to Supraorbital ridge in some way. - Mike Rosoft 11:48, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] September 2007
- History of baseball in the United States - Section on Negro Leagues contains very few facts and doesn't read like an encyclopedia entry at all. Really the whole article needs a major overhaul, almost no references.—Youjane1 14:33, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Nomad - Article needs attention to check accuracy and possibly expand to provide more accurate definition. Also needs sources.—Lendorien 14:23, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sukyo Mahikari - Religious article needs thorough cleanup to make encyclopedic. Needs wikification and copy editing for tone and pov issues. Significant sections unsourced.—Lendorien 14:31, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Arguments for and against drug prohibition - reads like a debate, some arguments are very weak e.g. Needs to be gone over for NPOV. Also contains serious sourcing issues. The article uses three different methods of sourcing. Needs to be converted to footnote intext references for entirety of article. Sections may need to be merged or reorganized. A very messy article.—Lendorien 19:43, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Assiti Shards series - This article has serious neutrality and OR issues. It needs to be deeply cut, perhaps even a deep revert. Completely lacks sources and has a fancruft tone.—Lendorien 19:43, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Lean Construction Worded like an advertisement. Deals with a specific construction technique by a limited group of firms. Promotes its superiority. Uses extensive external linking directly to for-profit organizations. 4.230.162.237 02:51, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Clinical_depression#Hypomania Urgent attention of an expert needed ! I (doctor) consider it factually wrong. Anxiety and panic are mostly not part of hypomania. Hypomania belongs to bipolar disorder not unipolar depression. And more and more. Chaotic written too.—jmak 08:23, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
